Signposting and Information Volunteer

Healthwatch Hillingdon is a volunteer-led organisation, and volunteering lies at the heart of all that we do. We appreciate and rely on the range of experiences and skills that all our volunteers bring to our organisation. We believe that by encouraging and enabling people to play a more active part in changing their communities, that together we can make a real difference.

The Healthwatch information and signposting function has been introduced to “enable people to take more control of their own health, treatment and care, and understand and use the increased choices available to them”. Local Healthwatch is intended to provide a single point of contact to help people find information about the choices they have, or to put them in touch with the right advocacy organisation.

Working closely with the Administration and Support Officer, other staff and volunteers, the role of the Signposting and Information Volunteer is to assist Healthwatch Hillingdon in providing a signposting and information service which will help the general public of Hillingdon to make choices about health and social care services.

If you have a passion for working with people and a strong desire to improve the experiences of health and social care services for the adults, young people and children of Hillingdon, then this is a fantastic opportunity and we would be delighted to hear from you.
