“I’ve met lots of interesting people I wouldn’t otherwise have met“
Healthwatch Hillingdon is a ‘local Healthwatch organisation’ established in April 2013 under the Health and Social Care Act (2012). Our role is to act as a local, independent consumer voice for people using health and social care services.
Over the last 3 years Healthwatch Hillingdon has become a respected partner within health and social care and is recognised by the NHS and Council as a valued “critical friend”.
By listening to our residents and ensuring that their views and lived experience of care are heard by decision makers, we are shaping local commissioning and improving the delivery of services.
Healthwatch Hillingdon is now looking to build on the proven success of our first 3 years and are recruiting for additional board members.
This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in one of Northwest London’s leading ‘patient champions’ for health and care, as we look to increase our capacity and widen our reach to give more adults, young people, children and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health and social care services are provided within Hillingdon.
If you have experience of health or social care in Hillingdon and want to play a leading role in changing your community, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
Healthwatch Hillingdon represents the diverse communities of Hillingdon and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
