Plans for new Hillingdon Hospital announced

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has launched a new website dedicated to the plans to deliver a new hospital in Hillingdon in just five years.

Hillingdon Hospital Rebuild Update

The Trust’s vision is to build a new hospital which would have all the current services in a high quality, purpose-built facility. The new website provides information about the Trust’s aspirations and the process that must be completed before funding is secured and building work can commence.

We have an ambitious plan to build a new hospital by 2025. A new hospital in Hillingdon would bring so many benefits to our staff, patients and residents and it is important that we listen to everyone on our journey towards the redevelopment. We very much want to hear from everyone who has an interest in the hospital, to ensure that our plans consider their ideas and aspirations.

Last week, the Hospital’s Trust Board approved the submission of the draft Strategic Outline Case for the redevelopment of Hillingdon Hospital to NHS England/Improvement. Based on the assessment of options to date, this recommends building a new hospital on the existing Hillingdon Hospital site as the preferred way forward. The Trust remains open to considering any new options should they emerge as part of the engagement process. As the scheme moves into the next stage, the Trust will be starting a community conversation to hear feedback from the community, patients and stakeholders.
