Young Healthwatch Hillingdon Podcast - Mental Health Mythbusting
2020 has been a challenging year for all of us. COVID-19 and the related social restrictions have changed the way we interact with each other. In response to this, Young Healthwatch Hillingdon (YHwH) has adapted how it engages with young people to make sure they can still access health and wellbeing information and support. In addition to running online focus groups in schools and delivering Healthfest2020 (an online wellbeing programme), YHwH decided to start recording podcasts about key health and wellbeing topics that are important to young people to ensure they have access to reliable information from reputable sources.
The first Young Healthwatch Hillingdon podcast is ‘Mental Health Mythbusting’. Developed and hosted by three members of YHwH (Ellie, Zoya and Amman) the podcast aims to address common myths about mental health and give tips about looking after personal wellbeing with the help of Geoff Chan and Anitta Sritharan from Hillingdon Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
