Annual Report 2025-26

At Healthwatch Hillingdon, we believe better care starts with listening. This year, over 640 residents shared their experiences with us, helping us ensure that local experiences shape services and drive improvements across health and social care services.

In this annual report, we look back on how local people’s experiences have helped shape improvements in health and social care across Hillingdon. Highlights from the year include:

  • Launching Patient Experience Programme, which gathered feedback from more than 600 residents and highlighted ongoing challenges accessing GP services, hospitals and other healthcare services.
  • Introducing Enter & View programme, visiting care homes and supported living services to understand experiences of care and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Reaching seldom-heard communities through local events and targeted engagement, ensuring a wider range of voices informed our work.
  • Providing information and signposting support to residents facing barriers to accessing healthcare services, test bookings, referrals and specialist support.
  • Beginning a dedicated hospital discharge project to explore how well patients feel supported when leaving hospital and returning home.
