Chapel Lane Enter & View Report
The visit was carried out on 26 March, 2026 with 2 Authorised representatives. It was announced and planned in partnership with the home.
Enter and View is a statutory function of every local Healthwatch. Authorised Representatives of the team carry out visits to a wide range of health and social care services to understand how they are operating and to highlight areas for improvement. Under the Health and Social Care Act, these representatives are permitted to observe care, speak with service users, their families and carers, and visit settings such as hospitals, care homes, GP practices, dental surgeries, opticians and pharmacies.
Enter and View visits can happen if people tell us there is a problem with the service but, equally, they can occur when services have a good reputation - so we can learn about and share examples of good practice from the perspective of people who experience the service first hand.
Our team at Healthwatch Hillingdon carried out an Enter and View visit to Chapel Lane, detailed in the report.
Chapel Lane is a supported living group home with 6 single bedrooms for adults with learning disabilities, provided and run by the London Borough of Hillingdon. There were 6 residents living at the home at the time of our visit.
