Voluntary Organisation

We are home to over 25 different community groups and our award winning Dining Centre (which is open Monday to Friday) is extremely popular.
Our motivation is to bring healing and wholeness to our community. We believe that the individual is important and through providing a place of relaxation and peace we endeavour to help everyone’s wellbeing.

We are for people who are affected by deafness.

We know that deafness can be isolating, demoralising and frustrating. You can feel lost in a group of people as you cannot keep up with the conversation. EAR4U is based in Ruislip, where we run informal coffee meetings which are held on Monday mornings, between 10am and 1pm, for anyone wishing to drop in. Maybe just to have a chat or find out information on how to improve your life with deafness.

Our vision is of a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all, and that treats people with mental distress fairly, positively, and with respect. We do all to make it possible for people who experience mental distress to live full lives, and play their full part in Society. We will never give up challenging discrimination and campaigning for better mental health.

St John Ambulance teaches people first aid – about 800,000 last year alone – so that they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

We teach young people in schools and through our activities for young people
We teach people in the workplace and provide first aid products
We teach people in the community.

And we teach people who become our volunteers; who offer their skills and time to be the difference right in the heart of their community – at public events, as first responders or providing back up to local ambulance services.
